Hi, I’m Cassandra

About Cassandra
I’m Cassandra, the face behind Along the Way Wellness, and my path to this work began long before I realized I was on it.
As a child, I would watch my grandmother work with reflexology on family members, completely mesmerized by the calm that would come over them. It felt like magic. I didn’t know then that those moments would plant a seed that would grow years later, after life took me in many different directions first.
I’ve spent much of my life in roles where I showed up for other people – first as a personal trainer, then for over a decade as an elementary school teacher. I have always loved helping, guiding, and caring for others, but somewhere along the way, I stopped checking in with myself. My energy went into everyone and everything else, and I didn’t realize how much I had been running on empty.
I initially ignored the nudges my body was sending me to slow down. Then in 2022, a concussion forced me to stop in a way I never had before. Recovery was slow, with daily symptoms lingering for well over a year, and I had to completely rethink how I lived, how I cared for myself, and even the career I loved but was quietly draining me.
That season brought me back to holistic practices in a deeper way – first through yogic philosophy and meditation, then reflexology and Reiki. Practicing self-reflexology, receiving regular Reiki from my now teacher, and building a consistent self-Reiki practice became incredibly important parts of my recovery. They helped me feel grounded again, reconnect with myself, and begin trusting my own intuition in a way I hadn’t before.
Over time, that path continued to expand.
Today, I offer integrative holistic care through reflexology, Reiki, Emotion Code, energy healing, and intuitive support. Some sessions are touch-based, some are distance-based, and some are focused more on emotional or energetic release. I also offer energy healing for animals, which has become a beautiful extension of this work.
At the heart of everything I offer is the same intention: to create a calm, caring space where you can slow down, feel supported, and reconnect with yourself.
My work is layered and personalized. Sometimes the support your system needs may be physical. Sometimes it is energetic. Sometimes it is emotional. Or a blend of all three. I believe in meeting each person where they are, without pressure, performance, or the need to have it all figured out.
This work may be for you if you are craving deep care, navigating stress or fatigue, moving through emotional heaviness, seeking energetic balance, or simply feeling called back to yourself in a more meaningful way.
I’m here because I know what it’s like to lose your footing. I also know that with the right support, space, and care, you can begin to find your way forward again – one layer, one breath, and one step at a time.
My Approach
My approach is gentle, intuitive, and whole-person focused. I don’t believe care and change should be forceful to be impactful.
Whether we are working through reflexology, Reiki, Emotion Code, chakra balancing, or distance energy healing, the intention is always to support and encourage your body, mind, and energy in a way that feels safe, grounded, and personal to you.
You don’t have to show up with the perfect words, a clear goal, or a full understanding of what you need. Sometimes the first step is simply giving yourself permission to pause and receive.
Training & Experience
My work is intuitive and heart-led, but it is also grounded in years of training, education, and experience supporting people through different stages of life.
I am a Registered Reflexologist with additional training in Reflexology Lymph Drainage, advanced reflexology techniques, and reflexology support for those navigating cancer care. I am also trained at the Masters level in Siam Reiki and have certified as a practitioner in other energy-based practices, with continued study in modalities that support emotional, physical, and energetic balance.
Before stepping fully into this work, I spent over a decade as an elementary school teacher and also served as a Learning Resource Teacher and Mental Health School Lead. I hold a Master’s degree in Sociology and Equity Studies, and my past experience as a Distress Centre Durham helpline volunteer and trainer deeply shaped the way I hold space for others – with compassion, care, and respect for each person’s unique story.
All of these pieces inform the way I work today. My sessions are not one-size-fits-all. They are grounded, thoughtful, and responsive to the person in front of me.
An Invitation
Along the Way Wellness was created for people who are ready for care that feels personal, meaningful, and supportive of the whole self.
Whether you are looking for physical relief, emotional release, energetic balance, or a space where you can simply exhale for a while, I would be honoured to support you along the way.
