Why Healing Isn’t One-Dimensional, And Why My Work Isn’t Either

“So wait… are you a reflexologist, an energy healing practitioner, or do you do aesthetics now?”
It’s a fair question. I talk about reflexology. I share about energy healing and Reiki. And I also provide an aesthetic treatment with face sculpting and buccal massage.
First off, I’m someone who needs variety and change (hello ADHD!). And secondly, I want to be able to meet my clients where they’re at and have multiple tools to provide them with what their bodies and systems need in the moment. What I practice is not random – they all work together – BUT they can also work completely separately and still have a significant impact.
I actually have a hard time subscribing to the idea that someone needs one “niche” – and also, as someone who is incredibly purpose driven – everything I do has to have a “why” to it – I wouldn’t add a modality to my practice if it didn’t make sense!
So, the answer to the question above would yes to all three. And each one has a very real place in my practice.
Not because I’m scattered or because I’m constantly reinventing myself.
But because healing is multi-layered, and our bodies don’t separate the physical from the emotional or the energetic, so neither do I. So let’s look at how all three fit into my practice personally and purposefully.
Reflexology: Where My Roots Are
Reflexology is part of my family lineage.
I grew up watching my grandmother use it on loved ones, and I remember the calm, the softening, the way it brought people back to themselves.
It connects me to my roots – to where I came from, and to the kind of care that focuses not on symptoms, but on the whole person. It connects to my personal struggles with lymphatic flow and how Reflexology Lymph Drainage helped me and other family members. It’s the modality that brings up a feeling of nostalgia for me.
Reflexology is grounding, therapeutic, and deeply supportive for the nervous system. It is a powerful modality that is too often underrated. With regular sessions, it can help with pain, swelling and balance not only in the feet or hands, but the entire body. It tells the story of what is happening in the body, and considers the physical and emotional, as well as vital life force energy (chi or qi).
Face Sculpting & Buccal Massage: The Treatment That’s More Than Aesthetic
Let me tell you something I hear almost every session:
“I had no idea how much I was holding there.”
The jaw, the cheeks, the forehead, the scalp – these areas store so much tension and stress.
While the face sculpting and buccal massage is an aesthetic treatment as a whole, it isn’t “just” aesthetics.
Yes, clients leave glowing.
Yes, there’s a natural lift and softness in the face.
But what happens inside is just as powerful:
- The nervous system drops down into calm
- Jaw tension softens
- The breath deepens
- Stress melts out through the facial tissues
- And clients feel lighter – physically and emotionally
It’s a visible reset, a confidence boost, and physical expression of inner release.
And that’s a big reason why it has a place in my practice.
The body doesn’t separate aesthetics, stress, and emotion – it stores everything together.
Energy Healing & Reiki: The Work That Speaks to Me on a Soul Level
Reiki and energy healing came into my life during a chapter when I desperately needed something deeper emotionally, spiritually, and energetically.
Reiki has helped me heal in ways I couldn’t have imagined:
- It brought me out of survival mode
- It softened anxiety at a core level
- It created clarity where there was fog
- And it reconnected me to myself in a way that felt spiritual, grounding, and profound
Energy healing fills me on a soul level. It’s the work that reminds me we’re more than our stress, our roles, or what we carry. It has been one of my most powerful practices in what can sometimes seem so subtle.
Why I Practice All Three
I’m not meant to choose just one.
Each modality supports a different layer of healing:
- Reflexology supports the physical and nervous system foundation (+ supporting the body’s “chi” or energy flow)
- Face sculpting supports visible tension release, confidence, and nervous system calm
- Reiki and energy healing support physical, emotional + energetic release and balance
Together, they meet people exactly where they are, whether they’re coming for relief from:
- Stress
- Anxiety
- Fatigue
- Swelling or inflammation
- Emotional heaviness
- Nervous system overload
- Tension held in the jaw, face, or body
- Or simply wanting to feel more at ease and aligned
Healing is not one-size-fits-all, so that’s why my work isn’t either.
